What happened:
Longer time than anticipated for grinding the weld on conductor.
What was planned:
Grind the weld seam on conductor joint after the rough cut was made offshore. The conductor was grinded from the cut depth and upwards from onshore. This to allow overshot swallow.
What was learned:
Grind the weld seams from planned cut and down of 30” landing joint in town pre-shipment in preparation for running diverter overshot (possible grind whole joint).
What actions are required:
Implement for next similar operation.
